Making a difference

High standards and sustainably guided, I hope to change the world one quilt at a time.

Gingerberry

Where did I come up with Gingerberry?
I'm seriously conflicted!

Ethically created quilts

I'm obsessed with producing great quilts and sharing them with the world. I love modern patterns with lots of colour and texture. I try to use low waste patterns and use up all the fabric scraps to reduce fabric waste. Fabric going into landfills is a real global problem and I hope to not make it worse!

Bad Choice Story...

Do you have any BAD CHOICE STORIES?

My Quilt Journey

Covid has done a number on all of us, and to combat the stress, I started quilting! I loved it so much I bought a Grace Company Qnique Longarm system with QCT5 software and automation. It has been a gamechanger for me. I initially started quilting for a local charity, Blankets of Love and currently serve on the board. The Blankets of Love Foundation for Mental Health is a national charitable organization
that provides quilts to patients who are in hospital for the treatment of mental illness. By doing this we aim to help patients in their time of need. Quilts are handcrafted by people in the community and then generously donated to Hospitals that offer mental health services across Canada. I offer longarm quilting for quilt tops that are donated and to date, Blankets of Love has donated 1000's of quilts to patients in mental health facilities as well as Ukrainian refugees. We are happy to take quilt donations as well as donations of money, used to purchase supplies. Check out the website: www.blanketsoflove.ca

No Regerts (sp) Quilt Pattern Backstory

Have you ever seen the tattoo, No Regerts? The person who received it definitely regretted it! I hope anyone who makes this quilt doesn't Regert it!
